Brasas is proudly the first Latin American restaurant in Waldorf, owned and oparated by a local Waldorf family. Claudia Rivas is the primary operator of Brasas and is helped by her husband.
Claudia grew up in El Salvador and loved cooking with her grandmother, Julia Aguilar, who lived in Puerto Rico for 9 years working as a chef for a wealthy Argentinian Family.
Claudia's Family is is very diverse with relatives from El Salvador, Peru, and Spain. She has been exposed to the finest Latin American cuisine and thanks to her grandmother she developed her passion and love for cooking.
Our mission and goal is to introduce the flavor, history and overall Latin culture to our community.
We want to give our customers, not only something new and flavorful, but also healthier choices for an ever changing world.
